Many of us can honestly say that at some point in our lives we were probably addicted to eBay. We go on spurts of buying clothes, sports memoribilia... you name it we're looking to be the high bidder. When you can find such great deals and also be able to sell off your unwanted stuff, its no wonder so many of us get addicted to the auction website.

But when it comes to eBay we generally don't think that wealthy celebrities would be involved to the same extent as the average Joe. Kim Kardashian puts an end to that theory. She recently tweeted: “Do you guys ever shop on eBay? I just got an Elizabeth and James brand new w tags blazer for $169 its in stores now for $450! What a good deal!”

Kardashian doesn't just buy things on eBay. She also uses eBay to sell her old clothes and has even raised money for charities by doing so. Earlier this year she helped raise money for the Dream Foundation by putting some of her wardrobe up on for auction. Kardashian said “I love to be able to pass along some of my favorite pieces to someone else who will get to enjoy them as much as I have. I even sell many items I never had a chance to wear.”

Michael Schumacher's 1994 Benetton B194 Champ Car on eBay PDF Print E-mail

Up for auction on eBay is the 1994 Benetton B194 in which Michael Schumacher won the first of seven career F1 titles. During that race Shumacher and Damon Hill, who was only one point behind Michael going into the race and who was neck and neck with him for first place, collided on lap 35. The collission spurred controvery and some suggested that foul play may have been a factor so that Shumacher would finish with more points. Of course it's been fully repaired since that crash. Its Ford-Cosworth 3.5-liter V8 was rebuilt by UK's Langford Performance Engineering. The bidding has already topped $3.9 million USD. You can bet it's going to go even higher as this is truly a piece of racing history. It comes with a bunch of spare parts including a laptop loaded with the engine management software and two sets of wheels.

Minnesota Police Auction off DWI Chair PDF Print E-mail

Here's another strange eBay item for the books. The city of Proctor, Minnesota has listed a "DWI Chair" on eBay. The novelty motorized chair was custom built by 62-year-old Dennis LeRoy Anderson. Anderson was pulled over and pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated after he hit a parked car with his "vehicle". The chair was confiscated and put up on eBay where it received bids of over $43,000. Unfortunatley for the police, they had to relist the chair and change its name after they originally had tagged it as being a La-Z-Boy, which it isn't.

This time around the chair isn't recieving as much attention, but it is still at $7,600 with 62 bids and 1 day remaining on the auction. The chair, which is mounted on a lawn-mower deck with a Briggs & Stratton engine, is not street legal. In the eBay listing one person asked if the proceeds would benefit charity or donuts for the police department. The answer? "The majority of the funds will go to back to the tax payers, then to the state and the prosecuting attorney".
