According to eBay, the days, weeks, and even months following the holiday season is a prime shopping time for people who buy online.  People are looking for deals on overstocked items as well as those post-Christmas bargains. But that also means more eyes on your auction! And the best time to list those items is now! Especially with new electronics, the sooner the better. If you got a new digital camera for the holidays and don't need it or don't want it, list it on eBay as soon as possible because once a new model comes out the value of that camera will begin to drop! 

If your unwanted gifts are collectibles, clothes, or anything else that doesn't become outdated every few months like electronics do than you can afford to wait a little bit longer before their value begins to drop. That is, however, as long as those gifts are stored properly and not used. To avoid any potential decrease in the item's value it is reccommended that you list it for sale as soon as possible.
